Do we give out entry waivers?
No, the Vision Feast does not give waivers out. Check our social media to see if there are any current discount codes available.

Why didn’t I get accepted?
There are many reasons why projects are not selected. There are only so many screening slots we can accommodate and as we are a competition our festival seeks the highest quality projects possible. We get a lot of entries every year and your work must be of stand out quality amongst those entries to be accepted, we encourage you to look through our previous winners in our Vision Feast Cinema to gauge whether you think your work is of high enough quality to be considered for our festival.
We consider many facets your film may present in terms of overall tone, different film making styles, subjects, technical execution, budgets, audiences, and more. We appreciate your aspiration to have your work screened at the The Vision Feast Film Festival. We Thank you again for letting us consider your work.
Are you still operating during the coronavirus pandemic?
While the Coronavirus Pandemic has shut cinema doors around the world, New Zealand’s cinemas are currently open and safely operating. If you’re accepted into our festival your cinematic vision will be projected on the big screen in all it’s glory in front of a real live film loving audience.
Do you provide feedback on projects?
No, as much as we would like to there are just too many projects to give detailed feedback. know that if your project is nominated, that is the best feedback you can get.
How old can my project be to enter?
Your project should have been made within 2 years from the Screening date of our festival Example our 2022 Screening will be in July 2022, so your project should have been made after July 2020
Are you IMDb qualifying?
Yes, all our winners are IMDb qualifying
What do you mean by Visionary Award?
Our Visionary Awards are awards that recognize the best technical roles in the selected projects. These equate to such things as best direction, best cinematography etc. Visionary nomination are selected from the works that are selected in all our categories
I have a feature - can I submit it?
Right now we a mainly a short format festival however we are looking to expand into the feature films. Currently we only accept feature films particular specialty categories so make sure you read over the information we have in our entry categories of our film freeway entry page.
Where is New Zealand?
As much as we would like to keep our island nation a secret, we would really like you to come and visit. New Zealand is located in the South Pacific ocean just South east of Australia.
What specs do I need to supply for you to play in cinema
We will get in touch with you if you project is selected and inform you of all materials required. Our normal required deliver format though is a digital HD, MOV file with Pro-res or DNxHD compression.
